Net Entertainment has chosen to reveal that they’ve been able to obtain a Spanish Gaming License through the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling. NetEnt is the third software developer to enter the brand new Spanish slot market, the first developer to enter the market was Playtech.
This deal will allow for Net Entertainment to provide the full library of their slots to various online casinos operators located in Spain. As of right now there haven’t been any online casinos that have opened their doors in Spain, it’s excepted that the first casino will be released towards the end of June. The reason for this is because Spain just opened their online slot market as of June 1st, this new industry has yet to even see its first week. None the less Net Entertainment gaining this license allows for them to have an important foothold in this new gambling market.
The CEO of Net Entertainment commented on this major announcement when he was asked on his thoughts on the matter during a press conference. The comment reads as follows, “This marks an important milestone for Net Entertainment, being able to gain this license is a perfect example on how our growth as a developer has no limits. Spain is a potentially profitable gambling market that has plenty of amazing opportunities for Net Entertainment as a whole.”
Unfortunately as of right now no Spanish gamblers can enjoy the Net Entertainment, not until they are licensed by an online casino. We shall keep you posted on which Spanish based online casino first licenses out the Net Entertainment gambling platform.
